Olivia Newton-John Dead at Age 73

Singer/actress Olivia Newton-John has died at the age of 73.

Newton-John's husband John Easterling shared the news on her Facebook fan page saying she passed peacefully in her sleep at her Southern California ranch with her family and friends by her side. They ask for privacy at this time.

"Olivia has been a symbol of triumphs and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer. Her healing inspiration and pioneering experience with plant medicine continues with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to researching plant medicine and cancer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in her memory to the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund (ONJFoundationFund.org)," the tribute read.

Newton-John had a history with cancer. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992 and after being in remission, in returned in 2013 & 2017.

She was best known for her leading role as Sandy in "Grease."
