Former Washington Commanders QB Dwayne Haskins tragically passed away after being struck by a car this morning, April 9. He was 24.

Haskins' most recent team was the Pittsburgh Steelers and ESPN reports that he was training with fellow quarterbacks, wide receivers and running backs in South Florida when he was hit by a vehicle.

He was a star player at Ohio State and was selected 15th overall by the Commanders in 2019 NFL Draft. He was released during his 2nd season.

Commanders co-owners Dan & Tanya Snyder released a statement saying that "heartbroken is an understatement" of how they feel towards the news.

Steelers' Head Coach Mike Tomlin says he is "devastated and at a loss for words" regarding the news of Haskins' passing.

Our thoughts are with Haskins' family.
