NBC's "Peacock" Streaming Service Will Be Free - Thanks to Ads!

WHOAAAAAAA.

In a bold move, NBC announced today that it's streaming service, "Peacock", will debut on July 15th - and they're taking the Spotify way of doing things - once you download it, it'll be free - with advertisements!

There's a catch though: there's a 'premium' selection access - to include ALL of it's original programming and double the library, which will cost $5 to get all of that extra, or $10 to go ad free.

According to CNET, NBC is hoping to make it's money from running ads against its library of shows like "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" - and if you're a Comcast customer, you'll get access to the app 3 months early - on April 15th.
