This is something we never expected to wake up to, especially currently.

According to People, the cast of the wildly popular Netflix series, "Mindhunter" have all been released from their contracts. The only thing that was released, news-wise, is that the show is on an "indefinite hold," per the executive producer, David Fincher. People also reports per a statement released to EW, that Fincher is "focused on directing his first Netflix film and producing the second season of 'Love, Death, and Robots.'"

The statement continued, "“He may revisit Mindhunter again in the future, but in the meantime, he felt it wasn’t fair to the actors to hold them from seeking other work while he was exploring new work of his own."

"Mindhunter" has bee popular due to it being about real-life serial killers and criminal profilers.
