Here's what we know:
Hailee Steinfeld and Niall Horan dated for almost a year, but broke up about a year ago due to Hailee's schedule promoting her movie 'Bumblebee' and Niall going on his 'Flicker' tour - which would mean they would barely see each other.
In the last year, Niall has admitted that his upcoming album is heavily influenced by his breakup, and while Hailee hasn't said that her new single is or isn't about Niall, it's called "Wrong Direction" which nods to Niall's career starter, One Direction.
The problem with all of this is that the song very clearly states that she gave her all to a guy and she found out that he was sleeping with other people while they were together - so she's accusing whoever the song is about, of cheating. Heavily. And while some fans accept it, others are livid.
BUT - other reports say that she says it isn't about Niall, and the only other person it could be about would be her ex before Niall, Cameron Smoller, who she was seen again with last year after the breakup with Niall.
