Maryland Third Grader Without Hands Wins National Penmanship Award

Sarah Hinesley in a pretty remarkable fifth grader.

She dreams of becoming a lawyer, judge and even the president. Now Sarah, was born without hands. She goes to St. John Regional Catholic School in Frederick and just beat out more than 100 others to win the Nicholas Maxim Award in the 2019 Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest, according to NBC4.

Her principal, Karen Smith, said that she's never seen Sarah without a smile. Not only did she win an award for her penmanship, she also was $500 to go along with her trophy.

Such a sweet little girl with huge aspirations!
