RECALL: Metal Shards Found in Packaging

John Morrell & Co. has issued a recall on their Nathan's & Curtis Beef Master branded hot dogs after metal shards were found in packaging on three separate occasions. No one has come forth as being injured by the metal-infused product but as a precaution, more than 200,000 lbs of the hot dogs are being recalled.

The products directly affected by this recall are:

  • 14-ounce sealed Nathan's Skinless 8 Beef Franks with a use-by date of August 19, 2017
  • 16-ounce sealed Curtis Beef Master Beef Franks with a use-by date of June 15, 2017

The United States Department of Agriculture released a statement informing consumers that if they have purchased either of these products to either dispose of them or return them to their place of purchase.
