Bed Bugs Have Built Up Immunity to Pesticides

Ugh, these pesky bugs keep getting worse!

Bed bugs have been around for a while and it has been proven that they have built up a resistance to common insecticides often used to kill them.

Exterminators and researchers recently did a study to see what chemicals are most efficient when it comes to eliminating bed bugs and the results showed that while chlorfenapyr and bifenthrin will kill them, it takes upwards of 3-10 days of exposure for the bugs to die as opposed to dying upon instant interaction with the chemical.

Higher doses are now needed to rid beds of these creepy crawlers and researchers have said that other means of disposal, such as traps or physical removal, will result in more immediate termination.
