More Schools Plan Closures on "Day Without a Woman"

More schools in the area have decided to close on Wednesday due to low staffing availabilities on the planned "Day Without a Woman" protest.

On Monday, Alexandria Schools in Virginia decided to close after 300 staff members requested off.

Many women are choosing to stay home from work for the boycott being called by the organizers of the Women's March on Washington. Wednesday is also International Women's Day.

Added late Tuesday to the list of closed schools is Prince George's County Public Schools.

Additionally, Center City Public Charter Schools in Washington, DC will close all six of its schools "due to the large number of staff requests for time off."

Protestors are planning a march at 11am from Freedom Plaza to the White House on Wednesday.
