A 71-year old Gaithersburg blogger faces a $150 million defamation lawsuit brought against him by First Lady Melania Trump.
In August, Webster Tarpley wrote an article on his blog that alleged Melania worked as an escort in New York City in the 1990's. British tabloid, Daily Mail, claimed the same false statement in an article on their website.
Even though both articles were retracted, Melania is moving forward with her lawsuit.
The original suit was against both Tarpley and Daily Mail, although Daily Mail has since been dismissed from the Montgomery County lawsuit, pending additional litigation in New York City. That dismissal leaves Tarpley to defend himself against Trump.
The next hearing in the case is scheduled for June 12th followed by a 12-day trial in early November.
