Bacon Is In Short Supply; Reserves Hit 50 Year Low

According to a report from USA Today, the country's bacon reserves have hit a 50-year low.

Even though pig farmers are producing swine at levels beating historical records, they still can't keep up with the demand from around the world. People are eating more bacon than can be produced and as such, reserves are dwindling.

You may have noticed that prices are rising at the grocery and are expected to continue doing so. The Ohio Pork Council says prices have increased 20 percent in January.

Will we run out of bacon? Unlikely says the Council.
