On Saturday, January 21, the Smithsonian National Zoo welcomed a brand new baby seal pup to the world! The female pup came into the world just hours before the Women's March.
According to the Zoo, the pup is "nursing, moving & bonding well" with her mom. They remain cautiously optimistic about the pup's survival.
