DC Metro Has 2nd Busiest Day In History

The Washington Metro Area Transit Administration reported final Saturday ridership numbers on Sunday morning and that number exceeded one million rides.

That makes for the second busiest day on DC's Metrorail system since the 2009 Inauguration of President Barack Obama. That record day saw 1.1 million rides.

On Saturday morning, WMATA reported that by 11am, they had already seen more riders than the prior day's inauguration of President Donald Trump.
