Obama Sends First Post-Presidency Tweet

On Inauguration Day Barack Obama handed over the Presidency to Donald Trump. And with that, the Twitter account @POTUS.

Obama reverted back to his original handle @BarackObama hours after Trump was sworn in as President.

And a few hours after, Obama sent out his first tweet as a former President.

It says, "Hi everybody! Back to the original handle. Is this thing still on? Michelle and I are off on a quick vacation, then we'll get back to work."

In regards to getting back to work, Obama is presumably referring to the Obama Foundation. The new project, headed by Barack and his wife Michelle, will be based on the south side of Chicago.
