Are you a book lover? Do you want to get married at the library? Officials in Arlington want to give you your dream wedding!
The city library's theme for the 2025 series of Arlington Reads is romance, and they are doing a unique contest to host a July wedding at the Central Library. The venue will have space for 50 guests, and the city will provide music, food, photos, an officiant and a wedding cake.
According to the Arlington Public Library contest page, applicants must:
- Be 18+ to apply
- Live in the DMV area. Preference will be given to couples who live in Arlington.
- Be Arlington Public Library cardholders
- Be willing to have their ceremony open to the public
- Be willing to do press and media interviews
- Be available on the wedding day: Saturday July 12, 2025
Applications for the free wedding are due by January 24th.
