We're all for bonding with the furry member of your family as much as possible, but according to experts you might not want to let them lick your face as much as you already let them!
According to a group of dental experts, letting your dog lick your face, more specifically lick your mouth, can let multiple types of parasites and bacteria transfer to you that your pet may have picked up during the day.
They say this can lead to a number of intestinal diseases in humans such as ringworm, hookworm, and salmonella, but can also put your teeth at risk.
Now if you're like us you're probably going to let your dog lick your face anyway, but this might make you more mindful of the best time to actually let them lick you like right after you brushed their teeth versus when you just saw them lick something off the ground!
You can read more about what the experts claimed HERE, but if anything just go ahead and brush your dog's teeth more often!
