New Survey Reveals Some Pet Owners Actually Put Sunscreen On Their Pets

Do you put sunscreen on your pet before you take them out on their walks? According to a new survey you might want to start doing so!

Thanks to a new survey from Merck Animal Health which looked at the ways pet owners ensure their pets are safe and healthy during the summer, only 15% of pet owners actually apply sunblock to their pet during the summer.

Now this doesn't mean you need to apply the sunscreen lotion or spray you use on yourself to your pet before taking them out on a walk, but to buy sun protection specifically made for your pet's face and paws.

Some of the other ways people said they watched out for their pet during the summer included: checking the temperature of the pavement before walks, providing fresh water from a filter, and making sure the AC or a fan is on for your pet.

You can read more from the survey HERE, but it might be worth visiting your local pet store for sunscreen for your pet later this week!
