EW!!! Microscopic Mites Live on Your Face That Spread By Hugging

OH. MY. GOD.

This is stuff nightmares are made of.

Apparently there are thousands of microscopic mites that live on your face and they spread from hugging.

The demodex mite is a microscopic arachnid that lives on human skin - specifically, in our pores, surviving on the waxy sebum they produce.

It's estimated that at any given time between 1.5 & 2.5 million mites are living on our skin. The life span is only 20 days, but....

*I'M SO SORRY*

......They can lay up to 24 eggs after mating.
