Smashing a wedding cake in the face of the bride and groom, is reserved for the bride and groom to do to each other.
Apparently a guest at a wedding wanted to see the cake smash and when the couple opted to NOT do it, he took it into his own hands (literally) and tried to dump cake on the bride and groom.
You can see in the video the bride does not look happy as she walks away.
The longer version was posted on instagram and the groom punches the man causing him to fall to the ground.
