It looks like we're still not out of the era of console-exclusive characters as it's been revealed that not only is Spider-Man coming to Marvel's Avengers as a post-launch hero, but that he will only be playable on PlayStation 4 in 2021.
Essentially what this means is that if you purchase the game for Xbox or PC you won't be able to play as the friendly-neighborhood web-slinger and if you know your video games you know that for some time Spider-Man has been an exclusive video game character for Sony for some time.
Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have not specified as of this blog on if Spider-Man’s appearance in Marvel’s Avengers will be permanent or a timed-exclusive, but fingers crossed it's the latter because who doesn't want to be Spider-Man!?
