Why Those White Claw Hangover Hit Differently

Spiked seltzers are more popular than ever! If you find yourself reaching for a White Claw this weekend, you’re in luck. Apparently, spiked seltzer hangovers can be milder than usual ones!

It turns out that spiked seltzers don’t contain congeners (a total plus). What are congeners? A byproduct of the fermentation process, and it’s usually found in red wine and dark liquors. Like a light beer, spiked seltzer generally can leave you feeling better than other alcoholic drinks!

Of course, the only way to truly prevent a hangover is a) don’t overdo it, and b) drink LOTS of water during your drinking sesh. BUT, hold onto those spiked seltzers into the fall and winter. It could help you avoid that early morning headache the next day!
