While a lot of people have a close relationship with their boss, sometimes those lines can get blurred, and one woman is figuring that out the hard way.
A 22-year-old woman recently wrote into 'Dear Prudence' explaining that in the eight months she’s been working at her dream job she’s always had a great mentoring relationship with her supervisor, who is in his mid-40s. That is, until the supervisor found out she had a long-term boyfriend.
It all came to a head when she asked for two days off in order to care for her boyfriend who was having surgery, and 'Mitch' started treating her differently - he also denied her request for the days off, adding that it was “misleading to have not mentioned my boyfriend before.”
