I don't think Prince meant for 'Purple Rain' to be an angry song.
But man, Nicolas Cage has been going through a LOT this week - his wife of FOUR WHOLE DAYS filed for an annulment AND she wants spousal support. It's a big mess: Nicolas swears he was wasted when they got married and it was impulsive, Erika doesn't see it that way and basically just wants all of his money.
Well, Nicolas Cage went to a bar the other night, and VERY angrily sang 'Purple Rain' and according to TMZ, Prince once described the song as, "...pertains to the end of the world and being with the one you love and letting your faith/God guide you through the Purple Rain.'
