How To Know If You're Dealing With A Lazy Dater

If you're anyone who's anyone, you have most likely dealt with the new age of men who are dating and well...It's not impressive it's even quite...lazy if you will! We keep talking about lazy dating in the modern era as though it’s a new thing, but it's actually been around for quite some time. With the dawn of dating apps, everyone has become spoiled by choice!

In my experience, lazy dating has been around since before dating apps. I first experienced lazy dating towards the end of my high school career and boy was that a rude awakening. I was disappointed so many times by so many teenage boys, that I lowered my expectations pretty quickly. I didn’t want to further embarrass myself by being upset by things that didn’t seem to be the norm for others. I was labeled 'high maintenance' or 'a handful' for simply asking to be treated with some respect and to show a little effort!

If you aren't familiar with 'lazy dating' allow me to break the concept down for you. Lazy dating in todays society can look like making you feel like you’re “too much” or “not enough” or struggle to show up for you when you’re sick because they’re “too busy”. After going through a lazy relationship myself I realized one important lesson and was that just because what you need in a relationship is too much for them, doesn’t mean that it’s too much for you. And it’s okay to ask for what you want.
