Are you caught up in overthinking about previous relationships? Well, it might be sabotaging your love life.
Marie Land is a psychologist who specializes in women who deal with attachment anxiety and she noticed her clients, both single and in relationships, tend to think about their past relationships and the mistakes in that relationship almost too much where they self-sabotage. She calls this "love echoing."
In Marie's words:
“Love echoing occurs when you return to memories, thoughts and experiences with a person you had romantic feelings for but are no longer with. It’s essentially a unique type of overthinking where past relationship thoughts echo in your mind.”
Land says over-thinking about the details and facts of past relationships might be irrelevant to your current situation.
