Have you ever found yourself after a stressful day of school or work just aimlessly cleaning the house? what if told you that this is actually a healthy habit to combat stress?
When we’re only doing things because of external validation, then we’re always doing things because we’re going to get a reward or because we’re going to get an outcome. The issue with this extrinsic motivation is that most of life is actually spent living in the in-between moments of the big events, big celebrations and big accomplishments.
When we’re able to intrinsically take on tasks, we choose to do these tasks. When the tasks on your planner are all things you 'want' to do not 'have' to do, it makes things more of an activity than a task! It is also important to mention that a clean room leads to a clear mindset so it wouldn't hurt to try this next time you're not having a good day!
