According to a new survey, 45% of American couples fight over the thermostat and 17% have even locked the thermostat so their partner couldn't change the settings. This makes sense since men typically run warmer than women. (Say hello to "Women's Winter")
In general, most people agreed that cooler temps were better for night time and sleeping (68 degrees or lower) while temps between 68 & 72 were ideal during the day.
Over 60% of Americans called it a “relationship-ender” if a love interest refused to sleep with an air conditioner in the summer. For Floridians, that number spiked to over 80%.
