It's totally okay if you have a type, we all do, but you might want to stay away from the "hot guy" according to a group of psychologists!
According to a new study, men with more attractive bodies, which is subjective to what you deem attractive, are less altruistic or egalitarian than those with less attractive bodies. Essentially this means that attractive people are more selfish and think of themselves as "holier than thou" compared to someone who was slightly less attractive.
The study found that this happens because attractive people don't have to work as hard for acceptance by others, so altruism is not a needed quality for them. Also, because attractive people tend to get benefits out of inequality, they are more likely to support keeping things unbalanced.
So it looks like sticking with someone who has a better personality might actually be the way to go for a long-term relationship to succeed!
