Duke University is teaching an "Influencer Class"
The class is "Building Global Audiences" and is part of their Innovation & Entrepreneurship program. It teaches students figure out algorithms and grow their followings until the monetization stage. Of course, the class centers around content creation.
Aaron Dinin, a social marketing professor with a PhD in English, is the prof for the course. Professor Dinin notes that influencing is “just another medium of artistic expression.” University of Southern California, East Carolina University, and the University of Virginia have similar courses.
