We're always for getting something for free or cheaper than advertised, but this new startup company might make you rethink taking something for free because they're giving away 55-inch TVs for FREE, but they consistently play ads!
The startup company is called Telly and just opened up their online reservation portal for anyone to sign up for a FREE TV they can get this summer, but the TV will share your personal data, including shopping habits, home address, household income and other details that advertisers desire.
The TV you're sent also features a second screen/bar that displays a nonstop stream of advertising even if you turned the TV off.
The TV set is valued at $1,000 and apparently over 100,000 people registered in the first 36 hours of the offer being active.
