A gut health doctor from the UK shared on Instagram that eating an apple can help neutralize garlic breath.
Dr. Megan Rossi claims that an apple is far more effective than a piece of minty chewing gum for eliminating odor emanating from the mouth. Dr. Rossi explained, quote:
"The plant chemicals (including quercetin) in the apple have been shown to interact with the sulfur compounds in garlic, deodorizing that particular whiff."
She also revealed that there are 4 other plants that can help eliminate garlic breath: mint, parsley, spinach and lettuce.
