We're a little under a month away from the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid being in theaters and Disney just revealed the character posters for Ariel and her companions, but some of her animal companions look a little TOO REAL!
We finally got a good look at what Sebastian (voiced by Daveed Diggs), Scuttle (voiced by Awkwafina), and Flounder (voiced by Jacob Tremblay) will look like and it seems that the animation team leaned more towards making the animals look realistic instead of the fun looks they had in the 90s.
You can see their posters below and they may look different than what you thought they would look like because the film also tried to make them geographically make sense with where the film takes place.
This is the stuff that nightmares are made of!
Now at the end of the day we're still going to see The Little Mermaid remake next month because we want to relive our childhoods, but here's the trailer for the film in case you need motivation to see it on May 26th!
