There is a pair of smart leggings that can let you know when it's time to stop working out.
Researchers from a University in Switzerland developed electronic yarn which can measure how a person's body moves and can predict exhaustion levels while working out. These leggings can send an alert to an app that is linked to the material.
Professor Carlo Menon, head of the Biomedical and Mobile Health Technology Lab, is leading the team of researchers and says that this technology has potential outside of the gym. According to the press release:
He sees the potential applications stretching beyond sport to the workplace – to prevent exhaustion-related injuries – as well as to rehabilitation medicine.
