It's easy to get distracted at work. Whether it's co-workers, social media or a lack of concentration on the task at hand, it can be hard to get back on task. HuffPost put together 9 quick ways to help refocus and here are some of my favorites:
- When you're interrupted, write down what you're doing-- This is genius. How many times have we been in the middle of something (like counting) when someone walks up and you lose track and have to start all over. It's the worst. Writing down what you were doing can help you pick back up where you left off.
- Try the Pomodoro Technique - This is a technique i used a lot for studying. It allows you to break a task into chunks so it doesn't feel as daunting.
- Drink enough water - Did you know dehydration can make it harder for you to focus? That's because it causes your body to conserve energy.
- Give your brain a break
