Falling and staying asleep doesn't always come so easily, but according to sleep specialist Olivia Arezzolo, a shower before bed can help you sleep better!!
Olivia suggested a wind-down routine that will allow you to sleep better, which includes:
- Turning off Technology. Blue lights can impact sleep.
- Taking a shower. Taking a shower can promote melatonin when the water brings your body temp down. Olivia also recommends using calming scents in the shower like lavender body wash.
- Creating a peaceful sleep space. No screens, calming scents on the pillow, etc.
- Meditating or Reading for 20 minutes. Basically stay off your phone, leave it on the other side of the room so you don't feel tempted.
