Looking for a way to boost your mood? One of the easiest ways to make yourself happier only takes a few minutes a day.
All you have to do is write down what you're grateful for.
That's it.
According to a 2005 study, writing down 3 good things that happened to you AND why those things happened at the end of each day increases happiness and decreases symptoms of depression.
Ok, so what do you write down. You can write down anything - from big to small moments-- that made you happy throughout the day.
The example, that CNET gives is: "Finished a project at work, because I worked hard on it. Had a nice conversation on the phone with a friend, because she called me. Went for a walk and saw some beautiful flowers, because it was a nice day."
Those in the 2005 study, noticed the change this activity caused right away and after one month they reported they felt happier and less depressed compared to when they started.
