Tattoo artist, Katie Baker revealed there are some common mistakes that people often make when getting a tattoo, especially for the first time.
1.) Find someone you TRUST - Katie says “Getting a tattoo is a very intimate thing, and you want to make sure that you get on well with them when you’re trusting them with your skin. If you feel that your tattoo artist doesn’t respect you, run.”
2.) Communicate what you want CLEARLY with your artist- you want to make sure your artist has a clear idea of what you want that tattoo to look like.
3.) Do your research - make sure you read reviews or learn about the artist you chose. Katie said she has seen people overlook important thing like cleanliness or artists who are under the influence. A lot of times, those people ended up getting those tattoos removed.
