Drinking Coffee Before A Nap Could Help You Get Better Sleep

Usually if you're about to get a nap in you wouldn't drink coffee right before because you would be energized from the caffeine, but coffee can actually help your nap according to new research!

Sleep researchers say that drinking coffee before a 20-30 minute nap can help you stay alert after the nap for hours instead of feeling groggy because you woke up in a middle of an REM cycle.

A Japanese study revealed that adults with a 15-minute “caffeine nap” did better on computer tasks than those with a regular nap and who just washed their faces beforehand. Now this doesn't mean it'll work for everyone especially if you nap late in the afternoon, but now you have more reason to drink another cup of coffee.

Just remember to go at least six hours between your nap and bedtime so that you can sleep at night because then you're just going to end up on a weird sleep schedule!
