It might be time to move or at least visit the West Coast if you're single and looking for a future match because a new survey ranked the "best cities for singles" and most of them are on the opposite side of the country!

WalletHub compared 182 US. cities, including the 150 most populated U.S. cities, in three key categories: economics, fun & recreation, and dating opportunities and even though the highest number of singles is in Burlington, Vermont, it's Madison, Wisconsin you'll want to visit if you're looking for love.

Madison ranked high in each of the study's "single indicators" and if you're trying to set your friend up with a date then get them a trip there! Here were the other ten best cities for singles:

  1. Madison, Wisconsin
  2. Seattle, Washington
  3. Portland, Oregon
  4. Denver, Colorado
  5. Austin, Texas
  6. San Francisco, California
  7. Minneapolis, Minnesota
  8. Portland, Maine
  9. Tucson, Arizona
  10. Boise, Idaho
