Peppa Pig is a very popular show with kids and parents. There have even been reports that kids are starting to develop British accents and say things like "go on holiday" for vacation and say "petrol" instead of gas.
But according to Parenting and Behavioral Consultant, Sophie Giles, Peppa Pig & other popular kids' shows could actually be encouraging negative behavior in kids.
Sophie says one issue is how Peppa Pig speaks to Daddy Pig saying quote, "It is interesting how incredible patronising [the way Daddy Pig is spoken to] can be in the English version, how the characters stress that dialogue and how the director allows that to happen."
Sophie also referenced several other shows that could potentially encourage bad behavior including:
- Paw Patrol
- Bluey
- Fireman Sam
- Little Princess
