This sounds the a hallmark movie. A Boston couple who met while sharing an UberPool ride in 2017 just tied the knot. Rachel Chazanovitz and Mark DeSantis clicked during the 10-minute ride and went on their first date two days later.
There were things that told them their relationship was meant to be:
- He offered to walk her home after the ride and he lived just 50-feet from her.
- Their Uber driver’s name was Iris, which is also the name of Mark’s grandmother, who always used to ask him if he had a girlfriend.
- Rachel recalls two women telling them they were “perfect for each other” during their first date, even though they’d only met two days before.
The couple moved in together in 2019, got engaged in 2020, and last week, they said “I do.” Rachel’s friends also came up with the best wedding hashtag for them - #FromUberRideToGroomAndBride.
