A new study shows that talking to strangers is good for you! Specifically having deep conversations instead of small talk improves your well-being.
Researchers had strangers sit and talk about superficial things, and about deeper things. The study revealed that people felt more positive about themselves and experienced a sense of connection to another after the deep conversation.
On top of that finding, the study showed that strangers actually listen when the conversation when from surface level to something more meaningful.
