Weddings are expensive. We get that.
But one newlywed couple has started a heated debate online because they sent a $240 invoice for not showing up after the guests RSVP'd that they would be there. The wedding happened at a resort in Jamaica and the guests in question were "no call, no show guests," so the bride and groom sent an invoice to recoup the money spent on their meals ($120 each).
Fair or ridiculous?
The invoice notes:
"The invoice is being sent to you because you confirmed seat(s) at the wedding reception during the Final Headcount. The above is the cost of your individual seats. Because you didn't call or give us proper notice that you wouldn't be in attendance, this amount is what you owe us for paying for your seat(s) in advance. You can pay via Zelle or PayPal. Please reach out to us and let us know which method of payment works for you. Thank you!"
Whose side are you on?
