Since the Pandemic began there have been all kinds of shortages: toilet paper, sanitizer and now school supplies may be the next thing to take a hit.
Experts are suggesting to get your Back-to-School shopping done early this year because some school supplies may be harder to find and they may sell out completely. Products like backpacks, sneakers, gadgets and stationary are expected to be in high demand and prices for these items are likely to rise.
Neil Saunders, managing director of consultancy GlobalData Retail, said, quote, “While we are unlikely to see apocalyptic shortages, the continued pressure on supply chains means that not all retailers will get an optimal amount of supply. What this means is consumers will have less choice, and some may not be able to get exactly what they want, especially towards the end of the back-to-school season."
