Howard University is honoring the late Chadwick Boseman in what might be one of the coolest things ever because the school will be naming its brand new College of Fine Arts after him!
Boseman graduated from Howard in 2000 and continued to maintain a strong relationship with the school until his death last year and to pay tribute, the College of Fine Arts will now be called the Chadwick Boseman College of Fine Arts.
It’s a fitting tribute since the late Oscar nominee was one of the few people leading the charge to keep the College of Fine Arts from being folded into the larger College of Arts & Sciences.
The school will also house an endowment in the Black Panther star’s honor to help future students attend the school. You can see Howard's announcement below as well as the Chadwick Boseman foundation giving a history of the school.
