While Fourth of July may look a little different this year, that doesn’t mean folks are going to be sitting at home doing nothing. Many still plan to enjoy the holiday with a barbecue, and for a lot of folks, that means steak.
A new survey finds that 30% of Americans are planning a barbecue for Fourth of July weekend and 37% of those people are cooking steak.
However, here is where things get a little more interesting because the survey also asked what makes the perfect steak, which might be controversial:
- Most Americans prefer their steak well-done (21% of those surveyed) over having it medium-well (20%), or medium (16%
- 43% of people prefer only using salt and pepper as seasoning
- 44% of people preferred using a wet marinade
- 46% of people love having a baked potato with their steaks
What do you say? What makes the "perfect steak" in your eyes?
