MARYLAND Recalls 8,000 Driver's Licenses Because of Real ID

Be sure to check your driver's license before heading out the door today because the state of Maryland has recalled 8,000 licenses from the first group of residents who didn't provide proper documentation to the MVA by the beginning of July to get a Real ID.

If you're one of the 8,000 Maryland residents, you could have your license taken away if you get pulled over. Maryland officials said, these residents were contacted several times since the month of December, but they failed to respond and provide necessary documents.

The Real ID is supposed to enhance security and all Marylanders must have a Real ID by October 2020 under the federal law. You can check the status of your license here.
