Ed Sheeran Is Taking A Break
After finishing up the highest-grossing tour in history, there's only one place for ED SHEERAN to go: Away.
During his last gig in England the other night, he told the crowd, quote, "As you may or not know, I've been on the Divide Tour for over two years now and this is the last day of the whole thing.
"There is something very bittersweet about it . . . This is my last gig for probably 18 months."
He added, quote, "It kind of feels like, in a weird way, that you're breaking up with a girlfriend that you've been with for years. It sounds odd but it has been a long tour."
In an Instagram post, he tallied up the numbers from the two and a half-year journey . . .
Quote, "9 million people, 893 days, 46 countries, 175 cities, 260 shows, 268 touring crew, 193265 miles travelled, 2 broken arms, 3 marriages, 4 babies. What a wild ride . . .
"Officially the biggest tour of all time, so weird to say that, and we survived it!"
Matthew McConaughey Is Teaching a College Course
Is MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY one of YOUR college teachers? It'd be a lot cooler if he was. And kids at the University of Texas at Austin can actually say he is.
Matthew has been co-teaching a class called Script to Screen since 2015. But this fall, he's full-on instructor, which means he can, quote, "mentor students, explore teaching other classes and participate in all of the University events."
Of course, that doesn't mean he'll be there for every class. The school says, quote, "The frequency that he'll attend the Script to Screen course this fall all still just depends on his schedule."
(If you're not a Longhorn, don't worry, you're not missing much. The fall term started yesterday, and kids say the class is just "Alright alright alright." No YOU shut up!!!)
“Mythbusters” Star Jessi Combs Dies In Jet Car Crash
“Mythbusters” star and professional race driver Jessi Combs has died at the young age of 36.“People” magazine confirms that Combs died in Oregon on Tuesday after a “horrific accident” in a jet car. According to the Harney County Sheriff’s Office, Combs - who was widely known as “the fastest woman on four wheels” - was trying to break her own land speed record in the Alvord Desert.
When authorities received a call about a crash, the caller identified the driver as Combs. She was pronounced dead at the scene, but the cause of the crash is still unknown. Combs first claimed the women’s four-wheel land speed record at a little more than 440-mph in 2013, and then broke set a new record in 2016 with just over 477-mph.
Combs' boyfriend Terry Madden has broken his silence via Instagram - and not just about the loss.Madden has issued a warning to the generous folks out there, who might get wrapped up in a donation scam. "Please donate to nothing," he writes. "I know there will be people try, we are finishing the documentary as she wished and the world will know the truth and her foundation will use those funds to do amazing things in this world and make her legacy live on properly."
