Karamo And Antoni Didn't Get Along The First Season Of 'Queer Eye'

"Gay Chorus Deep South" - 2019 Tribeca Film Festival

If you have at all been involved in pop culture over the last year or so, then you definitely know about Queer Eye on Netflix.

And if you know about Queer Eye, then you know about the Fab Five - the five men who make up the ultimate makeover team for the 'heroes' featured on the show.

There's Jonathan for grooming, Bobby for design, Tan for fashion, Anotni for cooking and Karamo for "culture."

People, including myself, are kind of obsessssed with the Fab Five because of what they are doing on the show and how they're changing not only the people's lives who they make over, but also people watching the show by opening their eyes to people and cultures that may not be like their own.

And as far as we knew up until this point, the guys of the Fab Five were just as obsessed with each other as we all are with them. Turns out that while that may be the case now, it wasn't always true and that during filming for season one, Karamo and Antoni had "extreme conflict."

WHAT??? I'm just as shocked as you are!

The co-stars addressed their conflict on Karamo's new podcast and I'm FASCINATED!

So let me break down what was going on:

Karamo and Antoni were strangers when they met and immediately became co-stars working an insane amount of hours a week together. Then, a "third party" got involved and was spreading rumors about each of them and it made things really bad.

Karamo explained:

“Our personalities got along, but then a third party got involved and once that third party got involved, he and I couldn’t even talk to each other. We were too busy hearing rumors of what this third party was spreading about both of us."

But of course, as people as mature and wonderful as Karamo and Antoni do, they ultimately addressed this toxic third party creating issues between them, adjusted to this new schedule, and were able to resolve the conflict between them. Hence why we see them having an adorable friendship now!

And Karamo also says that the two had mutual respect for each other all along because they were both working to "Help out heroes."

“So it wasn’t that we were being fake on camera, we knew there was a greater purpose, and a greater mission, outside of the B.S. we had going on behind the cameras,” he added.

Ugh. I love them! So happy they were able to work it out so we can hopefully get more and more Queer Eye in our lives!
