The Tipsy Scoop 'Barlour' is the place to go this summer to get a refreshing and alcoholic treat. It has been so hot and gross in New York lately and I can't tell you enough how much I NEEDED this ice cream today. Not only that, but it is alcohol infused which was a nice little boost before hitting my night on the town.
Actually though, the ice cream isn't going to get you ~wasted~ just like in the name, a little tipsy is all you'll get. I asked the store manager about the products and the actual alcohol content and she said two-scoops at Tipsy Scoop is like having a light beer. She said they literally mix the alcohol right into the ice cream using a "secret magic" to get the mixture perfectly. It took some time to get the hang of it, but once mastered the consistency was that of just a regular bowl of ice cream.
Their most popular flavors are the dark chocolate whisky and the cake batter vodka martini and I can attest to the fact that the cake batter flavor was UNBELIEVABLE! And for those of you that are not interested in alcohol in your ice cream, you can actually get some 'virgin' flavors including shirley temples and a root beer float!
